QCI Leaders Rally for Immigration Reform

Last Wednesday, on April 10th, QCI partnered with Casa Guanajuato and held a prayerful action for immigration reform at Casa de los niƱos in Moline. Alicia Gomez who immigrated to this country as a child, spoke passionately about her experience and the need for reform. "The promise of having an opportunity to make a better life is what has drawn immigrants to the United States since its inception," Gomez said.  Kriss Well, Board Member of QCI also spoke at this rally. "We must decriminalize the immigration debate so that undocumented immigrates have a fair chance in obtaining immigration reform; the debate should focus more on issues relating to individual rights, family unity, labor rights, and correcting our present unfair immigration process," Wells said.
